Although this impressive man's name is now a mystery, we do know he was a shrewd businessman and profilic entertainer. Over a century ago, this magnificent building was originally surrounded by extensive gardens, and the estate included guesthouses, stables and servants' residences. It was converted into a reception venue in the 1950's and has continued to operate as one ever since.

Lovingly restored in the early 1990's to surpass its former majesty, this magnificent mansion offers three unique function rooms which can be used separately or combined, providing the perfect ambience for a traditional or more contemporary event.

To appreciate the majesty of Dickens Manor, personal inspection is a must.

A bit of history...

Thank you for your interest in Dickens Manor, a distinctive venue for all kinds of special and ceremonious events since it's building in the 1880's.

The original owner meticulously created the perfect grand residence for entertaining the cream of Melbourne's early society. His determination to create a truly 'Lordly Manor' included importing the lead lights directly from England.
